- This piece revolves around the concept of compulsive lying. The bright colors represent the good, positive things, like relationships and mental well-being. The figure is throwing up black oil over all of these positive things, ruining the colors. There are common little lies throughout the black oil and chemical formulas for the "love-hate" chemical, oxytocin, and adrenaline.
